Book design and Indiegogo campaign to raise funds for family medical bills
The project 2177:ANC – Wandering Kita was a creative endeavor centered around a fictional, post-apocalyptic world set in the year 2177. The story followed Kita, a young photographer traveling to Niwotokyo, a futuristic city in a society that had risen from the ashes of a global reset in 2053. Through Kita’s eyes, the book explored a vibrant world where the collapse of corporations, the rise of AI, and the balance between nature and technology reshaped human life.
An illustrated art book featuring over 75 pages of Kita’s surreal photographs from her travels, the artwork was hand-drawn, digitally colored, and aimed to immerse readers in a world both unfamiliar and awe-inspiring.
Beyond its artistic and narrative aspirations, the campaign served a deeply personal purpose. A significant portion of the proceeds was directed toward supporting my father, who had recently undergone surgery for cancer, with additional funds going toward his ongoing medical bills and recovery. A portion was also donated to the cancer support organization Re:Cancer.
